So that's another summer gone and as the winter nights draw in it's all change from my side of things. After nearly 3 years in the west end Priscilla is closing on 31st December. It has been a lot of fun playing the show and a real privilege working with the amazing musicians involved. So what next? Panic I guess... It's tough times out there at the moment but fortunately there are things in the pipeline for next year. Tony Christie is going to be touring the UK again and also venturing into Europe and beyond. There are also plans to record and release a new recording in the spring. I will be working with artists Rose Marie and Danyl Johnson both of who will be releasing and promoting albums. The Dean Martin show that I play for will be doing a Scandinavian tour plus I have been asked to dep on 4 or 5 shows still running in the west end. I plan to finally start recording my new album that will hopefully feature many special guests. The first track, featuring Yellowjackets saxophonist Bob Mintzer is being recorded next month. I'll keep you posted on how things develop with that. There is also a very special event that I am organising for the spring but more about that when itis confirmed. What this space... In the meantime it's a case of playing out Priscilla, a few trips away with Tony Christie and the release of a couple of albums that I played on recently by Shona White and Charlie Green, the latter featuring the amazing songs written by Richard Beadle. Hope to see you all out there soon... |
