I am very fortunate to have had an extremely busy time this year and things are looking to get even busier as the year progresses.
I have some dates abroad this month both with composer Andy Scott’s Saxassault band at the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, and with the Definitive Ratpack with 3 dates in southern Spain. Most of August is going to be spent in Brazil touring with The Frank Sinatra Centenary Concert show featuring Louis Hoover. I am really looking forward to this as it has been 10 years since I was last there. After a brief holiday I shall then be off on a UK tour for a couple of months with Leo Sayer. This will be a fantastic show with all the hits plus material from his latest album.
Whilst all of this is happening I shall be playing regular gigs with Tony Christie and Joe Longthorne both in Blackpool as part of the season at the North Pier and around the UK.
My own projects are coming along nicely – the next Elliott Henshaw Band album is now at the point where Saxophonist Simon Willescroft is putting his tracks down. The next stage will be the string and brass sessions. It’s been a long process but the end is in sight. Simon Niblock and I are hoping to start recording our next Spice Fusion album in the next few months. The band is getting busier in it’s various configurations and there are a lot of exciting things in the pipeline.
Don’t forget you can still buy our first CD – Trying Too Hard – at www.spicefusion.co.uk or on iTunes or Amazon. Plus there is still a special offer on my first Elliott Henshaw Band album which you get for free if you buy the Spice Fusion album. To take advantage of this offer mail me at email@example.com
See you on the road
